In 2002, Kelly began her professional career - cultivating a unique ability to train horses and riders at every level with skill and tact that delivers results. Kelly’s daily training is systematic and goal oriented, which allows horse and rider to be successful both in the short and long term. Kelly’s unwavering dedication to her clients’ success is the reason many of them have been with her for decades.

For over 10 years, Kelly has trained with Bob Tenwolde, (Hastrecht, Netherlands) embracing his methods of producing FEI horses. A licensed Bereiter, Bob spent many years working with some of the world’s best - among whom Dr. Schulten-Baumer has been most influential.
With Bob’s coaching, Kelly has trained many horses to FEI. Kelly is currently developing Pam Nootbaar's beautiful mare "Navannah". In 2023, Kelly and "Navannah" are the CDS Open 5 Year Old Futurity Champions and are working towards the National FEI 6 Year Old Championship next summer in Chicago.

KATE MULLEN - Assistant Trainer
Kate Mullen joined KC Dressage as assistant trainer in 2015. With a specialty in teaching adult amateurs and juniors, Kate focuses on correct rider position—leading to balance, effectiveness, and harmony in the saddle. Her unique ability to communicate “how” a rider can properly use their body in the saddle create many lightbulb moments for her students. Avid Dressage riders wanting to improve their position as well as riders and horses new to Dressage will benefit from Kate’s practical and creative teaching.
In addition to being a current FEI Competitor and USDF Silver Medalist, Kate holds a Pony Club Graduate “A” Rating. She also has had great success in developing young horses. Notably, she won many USDF/CDS championship titles with her imported Dutch Warmblood mare Elnieta.
In 2023, Kate and her very own "Lucrum" are the Open CDS & USDF Champions at 3rd Level and are over the winter working to develop Lucrum for his PSG debut in 2024.
